Register for a live Cardio course and earn the Cardio Tennis Badge. 

Visit USTACoaching.com  to start your Cardio Tennis Education journey and register for live courses. The Cardio Tennis Badge includes on-line education (2 hours) plus the live Cardio Tennis Training Course (8 hours). 
  • If you are not a USTAcoaching member please go to USTACoaching.com, scroll down to join at the Baseline membership to see available courses in your area. (If you are not a Baseline member you will not see the full calendar of live Cardio courses). 
  • If you find a Cardio course you would like to attend upgrade to the Rally membership ($49) 
  • You will need to upgrade to Rally to complete the first three modules of the on-line Cardio Tennis Course
  • Once you have completed the three modules (1 hour) you can register for the live course

 Purpose of the Cardio Tennis Training Course

The 8-hour Cardio Tennis Training Course provides tennis and fitness professionals with the foundational knowledge, structure, and practical skills necessary to confidently deliver a successful Cardio Tennis program.

Upon Completion of This Course, Participants Will Be Able To:

  1. Differentiate Cardio Tennis as a group fitness workout, not a traditional tennis lesson/clinic.
  2. Explain the purpose, philosophy, and benefits of Cardio Tennis.
  3. Identify required equipment, understand the 4-segment format, and apply proper time management (“time hacks”).
  4. Articulate and deliver the sport-specific warm-up progression.
  5. Demonstrate and lead Cardio Tennis drills and games.
  6. Explain and apply the purpose of the agility ladder, including choreography, rhythm, safety, and skill development.
  7. Define and deliver Cardio Blasts, including appropriate modifications and progressions.
  8. Understand basic heart rate training principles, including the 5 training zones and technology options.

Participants Will Gain Practical Experience In:

  • Delivering a complete 60-minute Cardio Tennis workout
  • Coaching athletes of varying tennis and fitness levels
  • Applying modifications and progressions appropriately
  • Managing unique numbers on the court
  • The recommended grab-and-feed technique
  • Three balls across/ball feeding
  • 2-bounce rule and the do-over
